ESA Elettronica extends its Polymath range with the Database Connection package, the software licence that can automatically export any kind of data from the IT operator terminals or from Polymath applications on a PC to the most popular relational Databases, such as SQL server.
Polymath Database Connection allows full freedom to manage the data structure you want to export so that it perfectly adapts to existing IT systems with no boring and costly conversion operations.

In Database Connection it is possible to simply indicate the data structures you need to export, such as Trends, Data logs, Alarms and Recipes, as well as to select individual fields to associate to the relational database configured.
|ESA HMI and Advanced|
Polymath is the programming software of ESA elettronica, developed in .NET technology with latest generation features. Equipped with a modern and complete interface, it offers a wide functionality range in step with the new requirements on the HMI market.
The architecture of Polymath is extremely flexible as it allows to program all operator panels in the ESA range, as well as develop supervision solutions for small and medium plants. In this way, the user can pass easily from an application developed on HMI platform to one developed on PC platform and vice versa.
Thanks to a very high number of communication protocols supported, with Polymath there are no longer limits to connectivity, both in industrial environments and towards the world of PCs. All of the most important communication buses in the industrial world are also available: Profibus, DeviceNet, Can and Profinet.
Polymath allows easy and intuitive programming, which allows optimisation in terms of time and effectiveness both in the development phase and in the execution of the project. Among the advantages offered by Polymath there is, for example, the possibility to import the variables directly from the PLC database, thus avoiding useless time-loss for filling in the project variable table. Within Polymath the user can also make use of import and export of recipes, alarms, translations and variables in standard Excel format tools. In the case of applications developed in several languages, Polymath integrates a dictionary for automatic translation of the terms.
|ESA PC Runtime|
Any project made in the Polymath Advanced development environment can also be run on PC with Microsoft Windows 2000 SP4, XP, Vista and Seven, as well as on all ESA industrial PCs.
With Polymath PC Machine Edition, an ordinary computer becomes a powerful supervision and control station, that can connect directly to the system and manage a massive number of communication protocols, including Profibus-DP, CanOpen and DeviceNet.
Unlimited connectivity: Polymath PC Machine Edition allows you to remotely verify the correct operation of a system by means of a simple internet connection, thanks to a tried and tested system compatible with corporate firewalls.
Ethernet protocols are managed directly through the Ethernet port found on any PC, while for other types of protocols, special adapters are available. ESA expansion cards are field interfaces equipped with a dedicated microprocessor, which fully and autonomously manage communication, thus relieving the PC from that task and ensuring that communication time with the various protocols is respected (even in real-time).
Polymath PC Machine Edition is compatible with Windows 2000 SP4, Windows XP Pro, XP Pro for Embedded, Windows Vista and Windows Seven.
Polymath Premium is the Polymath license, which allows owners of a Polymath Basic license to upgrade to the Advanced version.
|ESA Remote Access|
You can now monitor your production plants at all times, without geographical limitations and in complete security.With the ESA Remote Access application, you simply need an Internet connection to monitor an industrial plant from any part of the world without any restrictions whatsoever.
Malfunctions and temporary downtime can cause considerable production loss. Machinery often needs to be serviced as soon as possible to avoid vast expense: with ESA Remote Access you can arrange maintenance or resolve any problems with plants directly even when you are not at the premises, without wasting time and need for travel.
You can use ESA Remote Access on an ordinary PC to connect to and interact with your plants as you would normally at the operator panel, and therefore check them and act accordingly.
It is possible, for example, to view trends, production data and alarms at several production sites, upload or amend recipes, run scripts, view images from cameras connected to the panel and much more besides.
Full support for connection to Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), company LANs and the Web ensures ESA Remote Access can be used in any situation, meeting your every need.
